Every breeder needs to have a registered kennel to make the pedigrees of a litter, making the registration of a kennel is necessary to assign a name to the puppy, this name indicates which breeder the dog descends from; the name can be added as an affix or suffix.

The name of the kennel serves to identify the origin of the specimen, it is the mark of the Breeder, and for that reason in the IBC the name of the dog cannot be changed, it accompanies the whole life of the dog, as well as of all his descendants.

1 – The name of the puppy is always linked to the name of the Kennel to which the mother belongs, that is, necessarily the owner of the Kennel must be the owner of the mother, when the puppy is born.

2 – The name of the kennel is controlled internally, with no integration with other entities, which is why the name chosen at another institution may not be available at the IBC.

3 – The kennel may be opened by a legal or physical person, individually or jointly, with the requirement of presenting the identification document of the members.

3.1 – When informing more than one person responsible for the kennel, he declares that both have the same autonomy, being able to be represented before the IBC in order to provide information, authorize services, register dogs, without needing to request authorization from the other.

4 – Confirmation of payment must occur within 7 calendar days from the request. Once this deadline has passed without payment confirmation, the chosen name will be available for other requests.

5 – The deadline for making and posting the document is 7 working days from the confirmation of payment. The deadline for delivery of the document is the responsibility of the contracted service (Post Office, carrier, pickup on site, etc.).

6 – If any document is sent wrong or incomplete, the period extends to 10 working days after sending the missing documentation.

 

7 – IBC reserves the right to deny kennel records that may induce extreme similarity with others previously registered, as well as those that are not consistent with the principles of morals and good customs.

8 – Once approved and granted, the name of the Kennel cannot be changed.

9 – A breeder (natural or legal person) can have more than one Kennel open with IBC.

10 – In the event of the death of the kennel holder, a judicial decision of an inventory action for transfer must be submitted.

11 – When opening the kennel with IBC, in addition to the opening fee, the owner (s) is aware of the annual maintenance charge in the amount of R $ 60.00, which must be paid until December 31 of each year. Default will result in a fine of 20% + interest of 1% per month, and in the event of default for two consecutive years the suspension of maintenance making the kennel name available for new requests, without prejudice to the collection of the debt until then.

12 – The address filled in the form must be the address of consignee for all documents from the required services.
